Such is life!

Some say life is a song, some say it's a journey & some just advice you to enjoy it to the fullest..
You seriously can't say this to a science student in the 12th grade!
Being a science student I have this habit of questioning too much, thinking too much & even talking too much.
There is so much going on in my life that the only thing I can think of doing is just going with the flow.
My recent exam results have been satisfactory with a 72% aggregate(I happen to stand first in class). But that's really not what I am looking for.I am a very goal oriented girl & I'm trying my best to study.
My only priority is to crack my exams well.Although I am not studying to gain marks but I am studying to gain knowledge. But with time I realise that our education system is designed in such a way that the only way people judge you is through your marks.
But half the things are just filled in the books so as to make things tough.
Some don't even make sense to me.From class 11th many of the chapters had the applications of log(Logarithm).Be it in electro-chemistry , chemical kinetics  in chemistry or calculus in math.BUT I never ever studied about log.I just know that when we differentiate log x the resultant is 1/x.
What's the use of such knowledge? We are learning things which have no practical applications.
Our government seriously needs to pay a lot of attention to this issue. As soon as they are free from all the scams(not supposed to be rude).

  1. i didn't knew that you were just a kid
well i agree class 12 is the toughest but if i am not wrong you are not focusing on any competitive exams as log is very basic need of these exam
well i am much diffirent from you in this respect i focused more on competitive
though i had only 78 % aggregate but i did satisfactory in competitive cleared iit and got admission to iit delhi
amiti it's india you need to prepare for competitive also otherwise it would be difficult to sustain outside
one has his own gole and i hope you have planned them for your future also best of luck and work hard to achieve those gole
and my advise is better strengthen log and antilog or they will cost you in collage ask your classmate or teacher to explain it to you
and remember never let anyone demoralise u my class teacher always did that but i knew i could clear jee and i did have faith in your heart

  2. Hey Gaurav,
First of all I'd like to apologize for replying so late.
Thanks a ton for your advice! :)
I am not preparing for the engineering entrances you see..
I have very different goals & ambitions in life.
Log was just an example I'd cite so as to strengthen my point.I understand that what you mean to say is that I should have clarity of concepts.I am trying really hard to do so & hopefully I'll land up where I want to.
    Thanks a ton again!Keep smiling & writing! :D

  3. Was the sentence, ''very different goals & ambitions in life'', in your comment, in reference to the ones you said in Maths period that day (Applied Maths, Political Science, Law)? :-)

    1. A person's goals and ambitions can tell a lot about them. And yes, although I appear to be someone lost in his own thoughts, I do listen to each and everyone in class (except Yogesh sir, everything he says about anything related to education is worth a huge lump of crowshit). I remember yours because it was unique. Same goes for Mayur, Deepak and Ravish (Indian Armed Forces aspirants), Shreya and Siddharth (Architecture aspirants), Yash (designer; also interested in Mobile application developement). I, as always, lied that day.
